One of my fondest memory is from when I was 13 years old. I finally passed my bronze medallion life guarding exam (it took me three tries) and when my mom picked me up and I gave her the news, she told me to look under my seat.
My heart skipped a beat, she had bought me a VHS copy of Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. For the first time in my life I thought my mom actually sees me.
It was one of the best days of my life.
And so… I make movies.
On the set of “Goodbye” a film I directed as a FilmGate Miami X ARRI 2021 Fellow.
